Shipping Information

We ship our healthy, vibrant plants to gardening enthusiasts worldwide (excluding some remote areas and parts of Asia). Here’s what you need to know about getting your plants delivered:

Order Processing

All orders are processed within 1-2 business days after payment confirmation. During peak seasons, processing may take slightly longer.

Shipping Options

  • Standard Shipping: $12.95 via DHL or FedEx (10-15 business days after dispatch)
  • Free Shipping: Available for orders over $50 via EMS (15-25 business days after dispatch)

We carefully package all plants to ensure they arrive in excellent condition. You’ll receive tracking information once your order ships.

Returns & Exchanges

We want you to be completely satisfied with your BrighterBlooms purchase. If you need to return or exchange an item, here’s our simple process:

Return Policy Overview

  • Returns and exchanges accepted within 15 days of receiving your order
  • Item must be unused, in original packaging, and in the same condition as received
  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable
  • Customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error

Non-Returnable Items

Due to their perishable nature, we cannot accept returns on the following living plants:

  • Air Purifying House Plants
  • Fruit Trees (Apple Trees, Avocado Trees, Banana Trees)
  • Berry Bushes (Blackberry, Blueberry)
  • All other live plants and shrubs

If your plant arrives damaged or unhealthy, please see our Damaged Items section below.

Return Process

  1. Contact Us: Email our customer service team at [email protected] within 15 days of receiving your order. Use the subject line “Return Request” and include your order number.
  2. Provide Details: Include photos of the item (if applicable) and reason for return.
  3. Receive Instructions: We’ll email you return authorization and shipping instructions within 2 business days.
  4. Ship Your Return: Pack the item securely and ship to our Chicago address (return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility).
  5. Receive Refund: Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll process your refund.

Exchange Process

To exchange an item:

  1. Follow the same steps as the return process
  2. Clearly state in your email which product you’d like to exchange for
  3. If there’s a price difference, we’ll contact you to arrange payment or refund of the difference

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your plant arrives damaged or you received the wrong item:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Include photos of the damaged item and packaging
  • We’ll typically send a replacement at no cost (subject to availability) or issue a full refund

Refund Information

Once your return is received and inspected:

  • Credit Card/PayPal: Refunds will be processed within 3-5 business days and may take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement
  • Original Payment Method: Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
  • Shipping Costs: Original shipping fees are non-refundable
